In its drive to swiftly integrate the University community into the wider national, corporate, and academic ecosystem and position it as a choice institution of research and learning in Nigeria, the Ave Maria University, Piyanko, hosted Dr. Omadachi Oklobia, a former commissioner for Finance, Benue State.
Dr. Oklobia was received in the University by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Uwakwe Abugu, who expressed delight and the university’s readiness for partnership with institutions and well meaning individuals.
Prof. Abugu was joined in receiving the former commissioner by the DAP, Dr. Izu Iroro.
Earlier Dr. Oklobia made a donation of books for the University’s library, declaring that it was part of the effort in mobilizing everyone in building vital institutions of society.
The Vice Chancellor described the gesture as thoughtful and benevolent, appealing that more of such initiative was welcome from members of the public.
